Goal: A goal, on the other hand, is a specific, measurable, and time-bound target that one aims to achieve. Unlike states, goals require deliberate action and progress over time. They provide a roadmap for personal and professional development, guiding individuals towards desired outcomes.


Understanding the Differences:

  1. Ambiguity vs. Specificity: States are often stated ambiguously, whereas goals are articulated with clarity and specificity. While a state like happiness can be experienced instantly, a goal such as completing a certification program requires concrete steps and timelines.
